Abstract

The qualification project is dedicated to the design development of the illustrated encyclopedia "Dragons". As part of the project, the evolution of encyclopedic illustration is explored — from Ancient China to the present day. The research also examines the transformation of the dragon’s image in myths, legends, and traditions across various cultures around the world. The practical part of the qualification project focuses on the development of the concept, composition, and stylistic solutions for the illustrated encyclopedia "Dragons". The project combines contemporary digital graphic techniques with dynamic compositional approaches. It addresses current trends in encyclopedic illustration, analyzes the competitive market, and identifies the characteristics and needs of the target audience.
