Abstract
The relevance of the research is determined by the transformation of higher education, the processes of digitalization, and the increasing professional demands placed on university lecturers. Educational design is considered as a comprehensive process of planning and structuring the content, methods, forms, and environment of learning in order to ensure the effectiveness of the educational process and the development of students’ competences. The work substantiates the theoretical and methodological foundations of educational design, defines its key concepts and structure, and analyzes the influence of systemic, constructivist, innovative, environmental, and digital approaches on the lecturer’s activity. A diagnostic study was conducted to assess lecturers’ awareness of universal design principles, and methodological recommendations for implementing universal design in university teaching were developed. The practical significance of the research lies in the possibility of applying its results to improve the educational process, enhance lecturers’ professional competences, and support the development of an inclusive and adaptive university learning environment.
