Abstract
The thesis examines the mechanism of documenting losses of Ukrainian cultural heritage during the full-scale Russian military aggression through documentary journalism. The relevance of the research is determined by the scale of destruction of monuments (1482 objects as of December 2025) and insufficient contextual coverage of these losses. The aim of the work is to record and preserve the image of cultural heritage through the author's Instagram project "Wounded History." The research employs descriptive method; deductive-inductive method; content analysis of project publications; SWOT analysis; and quantitative counting methods. The project has documented 14 cultural heritage objects and gained 325 subscribers. The video reels format proved most effective, demonstrating 5 times higher reach than carousel posts. The main distinguishing features of the project include: verification of sources through OSINT methods, legal qualification of destructions under the Hague Convention 1954, emotional resonance of narrative, and addressing young audiences. The project complements rather than competes with professional initiatives, serving as a popularizer of cultural heritage.
