Abstract

The master’s thesis is devoted to a relevant issue of modern preschool education, namely the methodological support of preschool teachers in organizing listening to musical works with senior preschool children in the context of implementing the requirements of the State Standard of Preschool Education of Ukraine and updating the artistic and aesthetic direction of the educational process. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to improve the quality of musical education of preschool children through enhancing the professional activities of preschool teachers. The study substantiates the feasibility of methodological support for preschool teachers as a condition for effective organization of listening to musical works; clarifies the content of key research concepts, including methodological support, listening to musical works, and musical perception; and characterizes the age-specific features of musical perception of senior preschool children and the directions of methodological support for teachers. In the course of the research, criteria, indicators, and levels of preschool teachers’ readiness to organize listening to musical works were identified, and appropriate methodological tools were tested. The aim of the master’s thesis is the theoretical substantiation and practical approbation of a system of methodological support for preschool teachers in organizing listening to musical works with senior preschool children. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of using the developed methodological recommendations, materials, and forms of work in the practice of preschool education institutions, as well as in the professional development of educational staff.
