Abstract

The relevance of the research is determined by modern requirements for the quality of preschool education defined by the updated State Standard of Preschool Education (2021), which focuses on the development of logical and mathematical competence of preschool children through the use of innovative, game-based and digital technologies. The analysis of educational practice in preschool education institutions reveals difficulties in forming counting skills in children of the fifth year of life, which actualizes the need to search for effective modern teaching tools. The study substantiates that innovative technologies, including interactive exercises, STEM elements, LEGO technologies and digital resources, are an effective means of increasing children’s cognitive activity and motivation for mathematical learning. A contradiction between the need to implement innovative technologies in teaching counting and the insufficient level of their systematic methodological support in preschool practice has been identified. The purpose of the master’s qualification project is the theoretical substantiation and experimental verification of the effectiveness of innovative technologies for teaching counting to children of the fifth year of life, as well as the development of an original digital educational and methodological resource for educators and parents. The practical significance of the master’s qualification project lies in the creation of an educational and methodological website that includes interactive games, methodological recommendations and tasks for educators and parents and can be used in the practice of preschool education institutions, inclusive groups and family education to develop counting skills in children of the fifth year of life.
