Abstract
This master’s thesis investigates the representation of the indigenous peoples of Ukraine in Ukrainian media, using the media production of Suspіlne Krym as a case study. The research analyzes approaches to covering this topic, identifies key challenges, and explores the discursive features of media narratives about the Crimean Tatars. The practical outcome of the study is the documentary project “Memory / Hatıra,” which served to validate the research findings and to develop recommendations for the ethical and meaningful representation of indigenous peoples in the media.
