Abstract
The qualification work examines the specific features of how mergers and acquisitions influence corporate development and the transformation of market structures in a global environment. It emphasizes that M&A remain an important tool of strategic growth that integrates financial, organizational, and innovative aspects of business activity. The study traces how integration deals affect market dynamics and corporate approaches to building competitive strategies, providing a comprehensive understanding of their role in the modern economy. The relevance of the research is driven by the intensification of globalization processes and the high level of international competition, within which mergers and acquisitions serve as key mechanisms for business restructuring, strengthening market positions, and gaining access to strategic resources and technologies. The global M&A market is characterized by high dynamism and sensitivity to macroeconomic and geopolitical factors, while the economic consequences of integration deals significantly influence industry structures, innovation development, financial stability of companies, and the condition of national economies. Despite the extensive number of scientific studies, the economic outcomes of M&A remain insufficiently explored in the context of digital transformation, strengthening regulatory pressure, and the growing importance of ESG factors. This underscores the relevance of the chosen topic, particularly for Ukraine, which requires large-scale investments during the post-war recovery period. The aim of the master's thesis is to investigate the economic consequences of mergers and acquisitions in global markets, identify current trends in integration deals, and justify the prospects for their application in Ukraine. The work examines the essence and classification of M&A, factors influencing the activities of multinational corporations, methodological approaches to evaluating the effectiveness of integration processes, global market dynamics, state policy on concentrations, and the economic effects of deals for companies and national economies. Systemic, dialectical, statistical-economic, and graphical methods were applied, ensuring the comprehensiveness of the obtained results. The scientific novelty of the research lies in deepening the theoretical foundations of analyzing the economic consequences of M&A, clarifying the influence of modern trends (ESG, digitalization, regulatory policy) on integration processes, and justifying the possibilities of adapting global M&A practices to the conditions of the Ukrainian economy. The practical significance of the results is reflected in the development of recommendations aimed at improving the effectiveness of integration deals of domestic companies and forming strategies for attracting investment within the framework of post-war reconstruction.
