Abstract
The thesis consists of an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, a list of references, and a total of 59 pages. It contains seven tables, 17 figures, 114 references, and three appendices. The first chapter examines the theoretical foundations of human capital research as a factor in sustainable development, summarizing the essence and characteristics of human capital and describing sustainable development within the context of human capital investment. The second chapter analyzes the role of human capital in the sustainable development strategies of the European Union and Ukraine. A comparative analysis is conducted between the countries of the “Highest Group” (Germany, №5, and France, №26) and Ukraine (87th place in the “High Group”). An econometric analysis is conducted to examine the factors that shape human capital. The third chapter develops measures for adapting international experience in ensuring the sustainable development of human capital in the European Union and proposes directions for ensuring the sustainable development of human capital in Ukraine's economy during the war and post-war periods.
