Abstract

Today, our country is going through difficult times of war, which affects the mental state of most of the inhabitants. Children and the elderly are especially affected. Therefore, the demand for psychological services is growing. High-quality help can be provided by a psychologist of a high level of professionalism, with a clearly formed and developed professional self-identification. Such a psychologist has high moral values, empathy and responsibility. In scientific works, the concept of professional self-identification is considered as an imaginary joining of oneself to a certain professional type of people, identification with it, aimed at developing personality qualities that allow one to be accepted into the professional community. Psychologists consider professional self-identification as a conscious choice of one's life activities, which is based on the need help to a person who is in a difficult situation. Like every specialty, the profession of a psychologist requires high theoretical training and practical experience. At the same time, this profession has special requirements related to personal qualities, spiritual development, value orientations and responsibility, since the psychologist works with the most secret thing in a person – his soul. The article analyzes the latest domestic and foreign research and publications, considers several theoretical approaches to the study of this problem, in particular, psychoanalytic, cognitive, existential, humanistic, structural, dynamic, social, attention is paid to the development of personal qualities of a psychologist, in particular, empathy, communicativeness, emotional intelligence. Based on the study of theoretical approaches to the features of professional self-identification of a psychologist's personality, its main components have been identified, namely: cognitive, emotional and behavioral. In order to determine the level of development of the specified structures, a special psychodiagnostic toolkit has been selected. For practical psychologists, a methodological recommendations for optimizing the definition and development of components of professional self-identification.
