Abstract
This article examines the organization of the education process of the KyivPechersk Gymnasium at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, during the period when the institution was headed by the prominent Ukrainian-Czech educator, philologist, and musicologist Vyacheslav Ivanovych Petr (1889–1904). Based on archival materials, reports, and publications, the organization of the educational process, the system of discipline, leisure activities, and cultural initiatives that shaped the school environment are analyzed. The study highlights the director’s role in creating a holistic educational space that combined humanistic values, musical and aesthetic development, and physical education. The influence of pedagogical practices and daily routines on the moral formation of students is traced. This research allows for a reconstruction of the school life atmosphere of the period and demonstrates the continuity of educational values that remain relevant for contemporary Ukraine
