Abstract
The master's thesis examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of ensuring the quality of general secondary education through institutional audit (External evaluation), the implementation of foreign experience and the determination of the priority of institutional audit (External evaluation); and defines the criteria for compliance with the status of a ‘Scientific Lyceum’ based on the conclusions of unscheduled institutional audits conducted in Kyiv secondary schools and the ‘Regulations on Scientific Lyceums,’ and proposals for improving management and educational processes in the system of scientific lyceums are formulated. The work is devoted exclusively to a topical and practically significant problem – the use of institutional audit (External evaluation) as a key tool for assessing and ensuring the quality of education, especially in the context of a general secondary school transformation into a ‘Scientific Lyceum’.
