Abstract
The subject of the research is a set of theoretical and applied foundations for the substantiation and improvement of the management system for developing students' leadership qualities in general secondary education institutions. The object of the research is the leadership qualities of students in general secondary education institutions. The purpose of the Master's research is to develop theoretical and practical recommendations based on the principles of a democratic society, aimed at ensuring the high-quality functioning of the management system for developing students' leadership qualities in general secondary education institutions. The study analyzes the evolution of leadership theories, ranging from the "trait theory" to modern concepts of emotional intelligence (EQ) and distributed leadership. The role of management functions (planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling) in creating a favorable educational environment is defined. A management model has been designed, which is based on a shift in focus from theoretical instruction to the practical delegation of authority and the development of emotional intelligence. Methodological recommendations for the heads of general secondary education institutions regarding the implementation of a leadership quality monitoring system and algorithms for creating a "leadership ecosystem" within the educational institution are proposed.
