Abstract

Consumer behavior is a key indicator of the state of a market economy, determining the structure of demand and strategic decisions of business entities. However, a series of crisis phenomena in 2020-2025 (COVID-19, war, inflation) caused significant changes in consumer patterns. The conducted generalization of sociological surveys and consumer sentiment confirmed the rejection of business monitoring from historical forecasts and the transition to dynamic analytical systems. It is concluded that needs in wartime do not function hierarchically, but multidimensionally. Patriotism and security become consumer priorities, and standard theories need to be revised: the new reality is based on solidarity, emotional stability, adaptation. The introduction of the concept of "adaptive consumer cycles" is proposed - flexible models that respond to external factors.
