Abstract

Under the conditions of full-scale war and the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, the operatingenvironment of commercial enterprises has undergone significant transformation, which necessitatesa reconsideration of the theoretical and methodological foundations of strategic analysis as a keytool for substantiating managerial decisions. The increasing turbulence of the external environment, the growth of military, logistical, institutional and financial risks, the disruption of production andsupply chains, workforce imbalances, and digital vulnerabilities of businesses require the adaptationof traditional models and methods of strategic analysis to new socio-economic realities. The purpose of the article is to generalize and further develop the methodological principles ofstrategic analysis of commercial enterprises, taking into account transformational processes causedby military challenges, as well as to refine the classification of methodological approaches to itsimplementation. The study employs general scientific and special research methods, including thedialectical method, induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, systematization, andcomparative analysis of domestic and foreign scientific concepts. The authors expand the range of methodological problems of strategic analysis, which undercurrent conditions are supplemented by the impact of military factors, high dynamics of changes atthe macro— and micro-levels, distortion of information flows, time lags in identifying resource losses, and limited possibilities for strategic control. The expediency of introducing risk-oriented and digitalapproaches to the systematization of strategic analysis methods is substantiated. The risk-orientedapproach prioritizes the assessment of military, production, logistical, investment, institutional andother risks through the use of differentiated SWOT, SEPSET, and scenario analysis tools. The digitalapproach emphasizes the application of Decision Support Systems (DSS), adaptive technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity solutions, and algorithmic strategic planning.A comparative analysis of the principles of strategic analysis and strategic management isconducted, leading to the proposal to supplement the system of strategic analysis principles withthe principles of efficiency, alignment of individual interests with corporate goals, risk orientation, and controllability of analytical information. The refined systematization of methodologicalapproaches and the expanded set of principles provide a foundation for improving the quality ofstrategic planning, enhancing adaptability, and strengthening the competitiveness of commercialenterprises in wartime conditions and during the post-crisis recovery of Ukraine's economy.
