Abstract

The relevance of the study is due to the increase in risky behavior among adolescents, in particular early sexual intercourse, substance use, a decrease in the level of responsibility for the consequences of intimate relationships, as well as the active influence of social media on the formation of ideas about sexuality. The article analyzes the role of preventive programs in implementing the tasks of sexual education of adolescents in the context of modern social challenges and emphasizes that Ukraine lacks a holistic system of comprehensive sexual education, which requires the implementation of scientifically based preventive programs. The aim of the article is to determine the role of preventive programs in the implementation of sexual education tasks and outline the conditions for their effectiveness. The article substantiates that preventive programs should be based on the principles of systematicity, targeting, accessibility, timeliness, professionalism and gradualness, and provide a comprehensive impact on the cognitive, emotional and behavioral spheres of the personality of adolescents. It has been proven that the effectiveness of implementing sexual education tasks depends on taking into account the sexual, age and individual characteristics of the target group, focusing on minimizing risk factors, forming a responsible attitude towards one's own health, developing safe behavior skills, and mastering moral and value norms. Attention is focused on the need to train qualified social professionals who are able to implement comprehensive sexual education programs for adolescents in educational institutions.
