Abstract

The 2024 Global Peace Index, compiled by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), has revealed an increase in the scale of armed conflicts worldwide and points to global destabilisation. From a theoretical perspective, the use of the concept of ‘socio-spatial inclusivity’ as a factor in the crisis resilience of a socio-economic system (of a country, region or community) highlights the degree to which social groups are integrated into the system of social relations within a local territory, with a view to balancing socio-economic disparities that influence the population’s perceptions of national security and their actions. In its applied aspect, the study focuses on identifying the determinants of social security that would guide the regulatory policies of state institutions towards supporting informed and responsible behaviour among the population in the context of achieving the country’s public security.
