Abstract
The relevance of the research topic is due to the growing turbulence of the macroeconomic environment, which requires business entities to radically adapt their operating models to sudden changes in external conditions. The article proves that traditional methods of incremental improvement exhaust their resource in conditions of systemic crises, and business process reengineering becomes an alternative tool for ensuring strategic viability. The purpose of the work is to substantiate conceptual approaches to reengineering as a basic element of an anti-crisis strategy, which is based on the integration of dynamic changes in consumer behavior into the organization’s management architecture to achieve operational stability and competitive advantages. The research methodology is based on a complex combination of general scientific and special methods of analyzing economic phenomena. In the process of work, a systemic approach was used to clarify the definition of reengineering in the context of anti-crisis management and functional modeling in IDEF0 notation to visualize value creation processes. Comparative analysis was used to classify the types of strategic response of organizations to external shocks, and logical generalization methods allowed to identify critical gaps between existing business processes and new market require- ments. The results obtained indicate that the key trigger for successful reengineering in times of crisis is the transformation of consumer behavior, in particular the demand for digitalization and personalization of the customer experience. It is proven that the effectiveness of reengineering directly depends on the elimination of interfunctional barriers, which in hierarchical structures cause complaints and low product quality. The role of hyperautomation as a foundation for a radical restructuring of activities, ensuring the transparency of the value chain and the speed of management response, is substantiated. The practical value of the article lies in the formation of applied tools for business leaders and crisis management managers on the implementation of flexible operating models.
