Abstract

Modern conditions of life and practical activity of Ukrainian society are characterized by a high level of uncertainty and a wide range of dangers, among which military threats occupy a special place. It is important to emphasize that military risks are not limited to situations of active hostilities and direct military threats to the population and infrastructure. They form a complex of direct and indirect risks for all spheres of human life. Military risks affect behavioral models, decision-making methods in everyday situations and, ultimately, gradually transform the security culture itself. In this context, the formation of security competencies takes on a complex nature and involves not only the readiness to act in emergency and extreme situations, but also the ability to systematically identify hazards and realize risks, assess them and prevent them in everyday and professional activities. Such competencies include cognitive, behavioral and analytical components that correspond to modern approaches to competency-based training.
