Abstract
The beginning of the 21st century was marked by the active development of innovations, which influenced the emergence and development of new trends. One of the phenomena that changes the way of production, distribution and consumption of information is considered to be “media convergence”. The term “convergence” (from the Latin “convergo”) is a process of convergence, merger [1]. In communication science, this term denotes the interaction and unification of channels and means of communication in the conditions of development of multimedia processes and information superhighways, which occur due to the large-scale implementation of new technologies that provide the use of digital transmission of information. In social sciences, the concept of “convergence” is used to describe various phenomena. In technological research, the convergence, fusion of nano-, bio- and infotechnology with cognitive sciences has been called “NBIC-convergence” (or convergent technologies) [2–5], etc. The result of such actions is an increase in information flows and the transformation of existing media formats. "Convergence" is the process of integrating information and communication platforms, as well as information products [1].
