Abstract

The article is devoted to the interpretation of the scientific and methodological potential of the creative work of the contemporary Crimean Tatar ceramic artist Rustem Skybin within the system of art education. The relevance of the research is determined by the need to integrate the ethnocultural component into the training of future specialists in art and design, as well as by the importance of actualizing the cultural heritage of the indigenous peoples of Ukraine in the educational space. The possibilities of using the authorial style Quru Isar in the professional training of higher education students are examined, particularly in the teaching of decorative and applied arts, ethnodesign, artistic ceramics, ornamentation, composition, and design. The educational potential of Crimean Tatar ornamentation as a means of forming ethnocultural competence, artistic and imaginative thinking, stylization skills, compositional vision, and a value-based attitude toward cultural heritage is analyzed. Special attention is paid to the methodological aspects of studying Rustem Skybin’s creative work, which combines the traditional ornamental system of the Crimean Tatars with a contemporary artistic language and demonstrates effective models of reinterpreting cultural tradition in the educational process. It is substantiated that appealing to the artist’s creative heritage contributes to interdisciplinary integration of knowledge in art history, ethnoculture, composition, and project activity. The study proves that the authorial style Quru Isar can be effectively used as an educational and methodological model for developing students’ creative individuality, forming national and cultural consciousness, preserving intangible cultural heritage, and updating the content of contemporary art education. Keywords: art education, ethnocultural competence, Crimean Tatar ornamentation, artistic ceramics, decorative and applied arts, ethnodesign, teaching methodology, Rustem Skybin, Quru Isar.
