Abstract

The article substantiates the role of a safe educational environment of a higher education institution as an important socio-pedagogical factor in the formation of social success among student youth under contemporary social challenges and wartime risks. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to reconsider the functions of a safe educational environment as a space for ensuring protection and safety of participants in the educational process. Based on the analysis of scientific approaches, the essence of the concept of a “safe educational environment” has been clarified and proposed to be considered as a system of psychological, social, organizational, and digital conditions aimed at ensuring security, emotional well-being, support, trust, and social inclusion of participants in the educational process. It has been determined that a safe educational environment performs not only protective but also supportive, integrative, and socializing functions, creating conditions for social adaptation, self -realization, and youth development. The social success of student youth is presented as a complex socio-psychological phenomenon encompassing social adaptation, constructive interaction, self-realization, confidence in one’s own abilities, social inclusion, and young people’s ability to actively participate in social life. The relationship between a safe educational environment and the formation of social success among student youth through a system of interconnected psychological, adaptive, and social mechanisms has been substantiated. Self-efficacy has been defined as an internal resource of young people’s confidence in their own abilities; resilience as an adaptive resource for overcoming difficulties and maintaining internal balance; and social cohesion as a resource of trust, support, belonging, and constructive interaction within the educational community. It has been proved that the safe educational environment of a higher education institution acts both as a system for ensuring protection and support of student youth and as a socio-pedagogical space for the formation of psychological, adaptive, and social personal resources that ensure social success.
