Abstract

The article raises the issue of modern requirements for the Ukrainian language lesson, in particular the lesson as a communicative event. The methodological basis of the study was the fundamental provisions of communicative pedagogy, communicative didactics, linguodidactics, psychology, and linguistics, which helped to realize the communicative direction of the modern Ukrainian language lesson and understand the relevance of the topic.The aim is to theoretically substantiate the communicative orientation of the Ukrainian language lesson and the role of the teacher as the initiator of educational communication, as well as to present methodological recommendations for the formation of professional communicative competence of a future Ukrainian language teacher in the system of the curriculum “Methodology of Teaching Philological Disciplines. Methodology of Teaching the Ukrainian Language”. The results of training according to the proposed methodological system confirmed its productivity.
