Анотація

The article highlights the process of reviving and returning the creative heritage of the prominent Ukrainian composer Dmytro Bortniansky to the national cultural space. It examines the historical origins of his musical education, tracing his journey from the Hlukhiv Singing School to his studies in Italy under Balthasar Galuppi. Particular attention is paid to a detailed analysis of the stage history of the opera "The Falcon" (Le Faucon), including its first performance in the Ukrainian language translated by Maksym Strikha under the artistic direction of Nataliia Svyrydenko, as well as other modern interpretations. The study also outlines the role of chamber instrumental ensembles and the ongoing challenges of promoting the composer's operatic and chamber music both in Ukraine and internationally.
