Abstract
In this article, the essence of the frontier civilization as grounds of the formation and development of democracy in Ukraine is analyzed. In special conditions of the frontier civilization in Ukraine, the democracy could stay alive, just on the grounds of the development of free individuality which is to be widely understood.
