Abstract
The author explores the gaps of Ukraine’s electoral legislation allowing the political parties to abuse their rights. The Article analyzes the nomination by political parties of the People’s deputies candidates in Ukraine in theory and practice. The research comprises the study of the nomination period, the rights of the political party as legal entity, arrangement of the nomination procedure. The application of the legal modeling allows it to formulate certain predicted conclusions. The article suggests several directions of the electoral laws’ reforming. It is proposed to strengthen the Central Electoral Commission’s control over the process of people’s deputies’ nomination by political parties.
