Abstract
The formation of scientific school of Kyiv University historians of the XIX century in the process of formation and development of historical education and science, the creative heritage of historians V.F. Dombrowskiy, M.I. Kostomarov, P.V. Pavlov, I.V. Lashnyukov, V.S. Ikonnykov, V.B. Antonovych, the activities of these scientists in academic institutions of Ukraine and their contribution to the development of special historical disciplines in the XIX century are analyzing in the monograph. The scientific analysis of archival and published sources and historiography of the problem allows recognizing the participants of the classical scientific school of historians of Kyiv University in the 30th-80th years of the XIX century as founders of Ukrainian national historical education and science, who started the investigating, development and publication of a documentary history of Ukraine and special historical disciplines. For researchers, teachers and students of humanities departments, schools, lyceums, gymnasia in preparing lectures, special courses, seminars on the history of Ukraine.
