Abstract
In his monograph on the material of modern Ukrainian language defined categorical status modality, especially investigated by means of language expression subkategorial values modality. The study was conducted on the basis of semantic and pragmatic aspects of linguistics, in line with current trends anthropocentric linguistics, taking into account the basic principles of modal logic and modern views on the formation and structure of the utterance.
