Abstract
Mechanisms of hypometabolic state of a man in highlands are considered. To analyze this phenomenon at a system level the mathematical model of functional circulatory and respiratory systems is used. The results of the model’s computer analyses are presented, indicating that hypometabolizm is a prerequisite for stabilization of organism on conditions of alpine hypoxia.
