Abstract
The article deals with readers’ practices of Ukrainian society and, in particular, readers’ practices of the young people, and also an attempt to form the general image of Ukrainian literature in the estimations of youth segment of reader audience is realized. Segmentation of youth audience is presented according to its personal reading interest. It is certain that those criteria in obedience to which young people choose fiction to read are rather inherent foreign literature, at the same time of Ukrainian a role is taken «national», «local». It have the admirers, though not numerous, but nevertheless they make the most active reader association which is more than all other interested in reading of fiction.
