Abstract
The paper summarizes the socio-cultural values established verbal complexes with names of animals. These linguistic units must be used in the study of words, names of animals within the discipline "Practical Course of German language" for the development of foreign language competence sociocultural future elementary school teachers, which will contribute to the formation of the system of foreign language communicative competence in general.
