Abstract

The purpose of discipline: the provision of system information technology development of distributed databases as a scientific discipline that studies the theoretical apparatus of distributed databases, software tools for their formation and operation, methodological approaches to the application of distributed database and data warehouse to enhance the effectiveness of the educational process in general educational activities . Objective: The course "Technology development of distributed databases" includes the study of the following main issues: - Relational database theory as applied to distributed relational databases such as; - Methods of design and implementation of distributed databases that can ensure the integrity of the information stored; - The main approaches to the formation and operation of distributed data warehouse for use in educational activities; - Methods of application of standard software tools for the organization of the distributed databases and data warehouses. During the study course, students should: - Get the basic skills of design and implementation of normalized relational database type; - Get the basic skills of design and implementation of databases and data warehousing post relational type; - Get the basic skills of using database management systems and data stores on the physical formation, maintenance and operation of electronic information resources, scientific and educational purposes.
