Abstract
The article deals with the question of special necessity of “cultural approach” while reading with the texts in original and translation. This question is of special interest and up-to-date for the methods of teaching Literature at secondary school. The”cultural aspects” are revealed from the point of view of “the language of Art” following the ideas of the famous scientists Yu.Lotman. The common equivalents in the “language of Art” and Literature are shown and analyzed. The analyzed equivalents can be used while analyzing the texts of World Literature at school. This problem is revealed as very current since many scientific articles and works have been written on the problems of using “original” and “translation” at modern secondary and specializes school.
