Abstract

The paper analyzes the features and functions of national professional standards of teacher education, defined their intrinsic characteristics, found that standards are an indicator of teacher professional development, professional Indicator learning objectives, standards can be used as an educator frame on which it can draw conclusions about the effectiveness professional activity, help develop standards in teacher self-reflection and self-esteem. The author also defined the principles of adaptation of national professional standards of teacher education in Western Europe to the European qualification framework. It’s established that the basic principles of effective adaptation are: interdependence between the various key elements of education and the consequences thereof; holistic view of the process, where the starting point is the use of a guide EQF; integral defined learning outcomes rather than fragmentary knowledge; develop confidence in the results achieved learning outside of institutional framework through evidence certifying bodies or institutions, the role of stakeholders and their specific interests and positions.
