Abstract

The essence of pedagogical culture of parents is exposed in the article as a constituent of their general culture, which personifies the level of pedagogical preparation and provides transformation of domestic education into a purpose¬ful, successful process of solving the task of the child's development and educa¬tion Pedagogical culture of parents can he presented as a complex of knowledge, emotional displays and abilities of psychology-pedagogical character; which pro-vides their activity on education and development of the child. Knowledge re¬lates to the child's age and individual features, conformities of its psychical and physical development, needs, interests and value orientations; methods of opti¬mum organization of the child's life in family, the purpose, facilities, methods of domestic education, understanding of values of domestic life and domestic educa¬tion; achievements in pedagogics, psychology, physiology, hygiene; knowledge of the parent's rights and duties, and, also rights and duties of the child. Emotional displays cover the ability to control temper in difficult, unforeseeable situations, to understand the state of the child after the inexpressive features of conduct, problems faced by it, and to give help in their solving, the ability to empathy, sym¬pathy. An important component of parents' pedagogical culture is proved to be reflection — the ability to analyze own deeds and states; to estimate the efficiency of the methods used in education, causes of successes and failures, difficulties which arise in the process of domestic education; the ability at look at one's self with the eyes of the child .
