Abstract

Based on the principals of ethics of non–violence, the article analyzes socio–philosophical foundation of Ukrainian human rights movement in 50–80 s. On the ground of programs, declarations, statements and applications of human rights organizations, their members’ works and practise it has been attempted to take a look at Ukrainian human rights movement in the context of worldwide experience of resistance to totalitarianism by means of civil activity.
