Abstract

Purpose of modern music education is to train highly competent music teachers who are able to teach schoolchildren to emotionally perceive and understand choral music. Therefore, the main task for teachers of musical disciplines in higher musical and pedagogical educational institutions is the development of the emotional sphere of students, their aesthetic and spiritual development. Future teachers of music during the period of training should learn to emotionally perceive choral works and analyze them, to see beauty in poetry, in music, in human relations. Through the future teachers’ personal attitude to the choral art, the foundation is laid for the aesthetic development and spiritual potential of students. The systematic emotional perception by students of choral works of different genres and styles promotes the deepening of their emotional experiences from heard music, the development of aesthetic taste, artistic thinking and the creative activity of future music teachers. The article considers new methods, forms and means of teaching students emotional perception of choral music. To motivate future music teachers in choral conducting
