Abstract

The article substantiates the relevance of the problem of creative thinking in the context of the socio-economic and educational challenges of the present. The theoretical and conceptual aspects of the phenomenon of creative thinking are highlighted, namely: its semantic components, types, stage of creative process are considered. The sensitivity of the student's age to the development of "sociogenic potentials" of the individual, including creative thinking, is considered. The basic criteria of formation of students' creative thinking (motivatedness, divergence, accuracy, originality, search-transformational character, flexibility, speed) and a set of corresponding indicators are outlined. The diagnostic toolkit for determining the formation of students' creative thinking is presented.
