Abstract

The article presents approaches to the concept of "context" as a polyfunctional, multidimensional, general scientific category, which, along with the traditional use in linguistics, logic and philosophy, began to gain weight in psychology and pedagogy. The author's taxonomy of the types of context is important for clarifying the essential features of the phenomenon of contextual learning of the future teacher of elementary school.
