Abstract

One of the features of contemporary artistic education is its updating in accordance with the requirements that are currently being actively formed within the information and communication educational environment of the university. The development and active introduction of electronic educational resources, the use of information and reference multimedia sources, electronic textbooks and manuals, educational and methodical software tools are relevant to today's task in the system of choreographers’ professional training. However, the process of introducing e-learning is slower in arts specialties in comparison with other ones because of the practice-oriented learning. Teachers of the specialty «Choreography» emphasize that e-learning course will not replace the traditional practical class with the obligatory students’ presence in it. Students receive guidelines for exercise completion and have an opportunity to enhance skills to work properly under the teacher’s supervision and get a mark at once. Undoubtedly, this idea has the right to exist. Distance learning course is considered as a complete replacement of practical classes. However, if we consider the e-learning course as an addition to the practical course, the main purpose in education in the «Choreography» specialty becomes more clear. The use of ICT and e-learning courses in the educational process of choreographers offers many benefits. They are the following: a large amount of accessible, interesting, up-to-date information; the interest of students in the use of methods and forms that are unusual for learning, but common in modern everyday life; mobility; formation of several competencies simultaneously; providing of correspondence training with a full amount of educational material with the feedback possibility. The filling of an e-learning course in practical disciplines requires selectivity. An e-learning course in theoretical disciplines may be complete. The educational material that can be included in an e-learning course may exceed the amount of time, that the teacher has set out in classes, and the use of multimedia technologies that may not always be used in classrooms, but it will improve the perception of the teaching material. Multimedia tools transfer training information over a short period of time. It opens up great opportunities for their use as a means of rational use of training time, improvement teacher’s productivity. And it promotes the formation of students' skills in pedagogical management. The paper considers an actual issue of introducing distance learning into the system of choreographers’ professional training. The practicability and problems of electronic training courses used in the educational process have been determined. The ways to solve these problems have been offered. Cases of filling distance learning courses with study material and the assignment completion monitoring means have been provided through the example of the Moodle training system. The substantive content of distance learning courses of theoretical and practical disciplines of the professional cycle, examples of educational and testing tasks have been suggested.
