Abstract

at this stage, Ukrainian education is being in conditions of educational reforms. In the main, secondary education institutions are being in conditions changing environment, which determines the need for a revision of the structure and transformation of the managerial competence phenomenon of the secondary school head of department. The article presents the analysis of the foreign and native scientific works of the concept of «managerial competence of the head of the secondary school». And also the concepts of definition the psychological features of the managerial competence; the argued need and the possibilities of developing managerial competence of the modern head of the secondary school. In modern scientific theory, the concept of managerial competence of the head of the institution of general secondary education has a broad interpretation and complex structural structure. In general, it is understood as a set of knowledge, skills and abilities, which provides the opportunity to make effective management decisions by leaders of education
