One of the ways of improving the quality of correctional education and training of children with special educational needs (hereinafter - OOP) is the discovery of their personal resources, including intact sensory systems. The basis of mental development of the child, the course and formation of his mental neoplasms become sensory perception, in the process of activity, internalization of experience and reflection of the outside world at the level of their own intelligence. Sensory development prepares the transition from sensory to rational cognition, from perception to thinking, providing the basis for further intellectual and practical activity of the child. The article presents the results of research aimed at the effective use of preserved sensory systems in children with OOP as an important component of compensator -correction process. In particular, it was found that tactile perception, in combination with kinesthetic and visual, it is advisable to actively use at the agreement (with limited speech skills) stages of formation of cognitive interest in children with OOP, their intellectual and speech development. Our research and observations showed that early childhood and preschool children with OOP and a vision feature that provides simultaneous perception of the object or group of objects in general, impedes their analytical activity, the selection of parts (details) of the subject, in updating relationships and relationships between them. During familiarization with the subject of tactile-visual-motor way, the child monitors the movement of the entire palm or index finger on the details of the subject, which causes the fixation of the gaze on these details, bringing up the fixing attention to the counterbalance , which is aimed primarily at the perception of the subject as a whole. An important indicator of the effectiveness of the tactile-visual-motor way of examining the pre-goal was that the child, highlighting a part, mastered its name, drew a questionable review on the experimenter and expected the appropriate word from him. In this we saw the sprouts of the emergence of the phenomenon of "why", which in such children is often absent or not realized.
