Abstract

The development of research skills is considered as an important task of education in the modern information society. Basic principles and purpose of teaching in alternative schools of Ukraine, in particular in alternative democratic school Dixi are described. The research approach and the research method of teaching as the basic links of psychological and pedagogical support of the process of formation of research needs and abilities of younger students are considered; the process of psychological and pedagogical support for the formation of students' research needs and abilities. The goals of the teacher's activity in organization of systematic educational researches are formulated; tasks that are solved by the students in the course of the study studies. A list of pedagogical conditions is provided, under which the process of formation of research skills of younger students will be effective. The peculiarities of the organization of research activities at school and the purpose of the teacher in this direction are characterized. The article highlights the features of alternative schools in Ukraine, such as: in the form of organization of mainly boarding type; adhere to joint training and education from the first to the last year; physical education is widely practiced; education invariably comes from the needs of the child; to carry out constant studying of interests and needs of pupils; the desire for comprehensive development of the child's personality; the main goal is the formation of a healthy child with developed feelings and will, skills and life skills in society; the main method of knowledge acquisition is the research method; the most important feature is the individualization of learning; individual work of students is to obtain any factual material and through personal observations, experiments; in addition to compulsory lessons, space is given to the free choice of teaching and information, which develops the taste of younger students and awakens in them a spirit of ingenuity and creativity; moral education, like mental education, occurs not through external authority, but through experience and the gradual use in practice of critical intelligence and freedom; public responsibilities are based on the principle of effective mutual assistance.
