Abstract

The article highlights the problem of the functioning of gender linguistics in the system of language general secondary education. The necessity of scientific basis of gender issues in the Ukrainian language course for senior school is substantiated. Recent research and publications on the problem have been analyzed. It has been noted that gender studies criticize the phenomena of androcentrism and gender polarization. The topics of the current program for the senior language that are most appropriate for the implementation of elements of gender linguistics («Male and female nouns, meaning the names of people by activity (poet - poet, poet; director - director, worker - worker, etc.) are defined» (10 cl.), «Stylistic features of means of word formation» (11 cl.), etc.). Emphasis is placed on the peculiarities of the functioning of feminites: the specifics of their use in different literary styles and genres, their functioning in speech, the most common mistakes in the process of word formation. The system of different levels of exercises and tasks that will contribute to the formation of gender competence and education of students' gender culture is presented. It is emphasized that the introduction of elements of gender linguistics into the didactic material from the Ukrainian language, in particular the formation of feminine skills in different styles and genres of speech in students, will help to bring women's names to the level of common stylistically neutral words, which will become a fair social life. There are various examples of creating femininities from the names of people by activity, which will affect the improvement of students' speech culture. Prospects for further research are outlined in the need for the introduction of appropriate educational material in school textbooks, in the creation of methodological materials for teachers, the preparation and publication of modern vocabulary of feminists.
