Abstract

The retrospective analysis of the problem of left-handedness is determined in the article. In The Soviet Union the left-hander pupils studied to write with right arms. We set that today the amount of left-hander pupils was increased. The article analyses the content of the «right-handedness», «left-handedness», «ambidexter», «ambisinistr». The history of development of looks to functional asymmetry of brain and the functions of the parencephalons are considered; scientists’ hypotheses which explain reasons of origin of different types of prevailing of hand are analyzed.
