Abstract
The article deals with the techniques stimulating teaching and cognitive activity of students by raising issues arising from the problem situations (accident, conflict, prediction, negation, inconsistency, uncertainty, surprise, paradox). The possible ways of working with Ukrainian language vocabulary are considered in the article, as well as challenges and game tasks, which can be used at various stages of training activities during lessons, in extra-curricular, circle work, self-study at leisure.
