Abstract
The article shows different scientific approaches to the determination of the psychological contents of the professional competence notion. Traditionally, the phenomena of the professional competence was observed and investigated in the management sphere and other scientific spheres. But under the conditions of the urgent need of the increasing effectiveness of the use of human resources, the psychological science aims at the search and profound analysis of the main mechanisms and methods of influence upon the development of the professional competence. In the article the review of the researchers, that touches the theme, is held, examples and the authors conclusions are given
