Abstract
The article highlights different forms of development of professional skills that provide upbringing of students self-training in the process of work on music composition. It scientifically justifies methods of activation of analytical thinking, auditory monitoring, piano activity with students at the piano class. To develop skills of students self-training it is examined conditions and methods of their development, partkuiary problematic type of training; problems of formation of professional artistic self-realization and self-identity in terms of preparation for innovative activity.
