Abstract

Thе article is devoted to the phenomenology of body in the prose by Bohdan Rubchak, interpretation of short stories “The evening from Irina’s life”, “Duckbill”, “Room of Kyong-Su” from the standpoint of methodology by Maurice Merleau-Ponty. We have studied the texts showing the contradictions which the man of the second half of the 20th century tryed to understand. This article analyzes Bohdan Rubchak’s texts for further understanding of bodily discourse, embodied in the works of the representatives of the New York group.
