Abstract
In the article the development of the philosophy of education as one of the largest pluralistic scientifi c branches of learning is analyzed in the Anglo-American, West European and Ukrainian educational spheres. The reasons of the appearance of the integrated scientifi c approach to the cognition of education – “osvitologiya” – are substantiated. The object, subject and the tasks of the new approach are defi ned.
