Abstract
The questions of staying of the UNR Army interned soldiers in the camps in Romania during 1921-1923 are analyzed. The article concentrates particularly on soldiers’ everyday life inside and outside the camps. It was discovered that everyday life of Ukrainian interned soldiers was determined by military rules. Simultaneously, interned soldiers pursued cultural and educational work and organized artistic groups with the help of Ukrainian diplomacy in Romania. In 1922-1923, Romanian governmental authorities forced interned soldiers to conduct different types of work in order to limit disbursements of the camps. After the camps’ abolition, the UNR military organization was no longer situated on the territories of Bessarabia and Romania. Nevertheless, erstwhile interned soldiers communicated with each other and participated in different Ukrainian emigrant organizations.
